James “Jim” Marcella opened Marcella’s Flooring Center in April 1969 after spending several years in his family’s appliance business. Jim started his company with the commitment to excellence in offering the finest products available, hiring the most capable sales and installation staff so that he could provide his customers with high quality products at competitive prices.Jim was proud to have attended Siena College majoring in business and that was evident to this very day as the firm has been able to flourish in good times and bad, through many business recessions over the past 57 years.The company continually grew its product and service offerings to remain a place where people could do business finding the flooring solutions that they wanted for their homes, apartments and businesses. Jim guaranteed that his customers would be completely satisfied. On rare occasions the company would have to make alterations if a customer was not completely satisfied.Jim prided himself in recruiting and training the very best people in the flooring industry with some of his current associates having 30+ years with the firm. Jim always maintains a direct relationship with his customers boasting that they and their friends and families have continued buying flooring products from him since the firm was founded almost 60 years ago!The Senior Team
Adam Cemerys
Lead Estimator/Commercial Installer
Adam emigrated from Poland to America in 1995 as a young boy and found part time work with a flooring installation firm. One of the installations was contracted for Marcella’s Flooring that was very complicated and required specialty techniques. Jim Marcella recognized how competent Adam was and within a short time Jim offered him a full time position in 1998 with his firm. Adam attended many specialty installation seminars that established him as the most experienced installer in the region. Adam continues to provide estimates and project management for the complex commercial installations going on 27 years for Marcella’s. Currently, Adam is preparing to install a variety of flooring systems for the new Hana Restaurant in Latham, NY.Mark Myers
Senior Flooring Consultant
Mark came to Marcella’s Flooring in 2020 with over 35 years in the flooring business with other firms and is the lead salesperson in the firm. Mark has attended dozens of industry product seminars over the years so he can speak with authority about the best solutions available to his customers. Mark is an avid sports fan and his spare time likes to view classic films with friends and family. He is an avid New York Giants fan and looks forward to them having a winning season!!!!Rob Alexson

Rob came to Marcella’s Floor Covering in 2001 with 8 years of experience with other flooring firms and specializes in a full array of product installations:

- Several varieties of hardwood species
- Vinyl Plank
- Linoleum
- All forms of Laminate
Rob is highly regarded by the firm’s commercial customers as he has mastered the complexities required in the challenging projects. He continually garners 5-Star recommendations by our large commercial client base.Rob has known Jim Marcella since he was 12 years old and regards Jim as an adopted Uncle.Jeanie Zeller
Operations Manager/Sales Associates
Jeanie joined the firm in 2020 as a sales associate and design consultant. She provides customers with excellent options when they need advice as to colors, patterns and carpet choices.
Within 2 years of her tenure Jim Marcella recognized her computer and database management expertise and promoted her to the additional responsibilities of the Operations Manager so Jim could concentrate on other aspects of the business.
She has attended numerous technical and product seminars so she has been able to better serve the firm’s residential and commercial customers. Jeanie and 2 children and 2 Grandchildren and in he spare time travels to vacation destinations with great joy.
